We believe that garden maintenance goes far beyond just mowing lawns, cutting hedges or monthly tidy ups - it requires a yearly plan formed into a schedule based on the shifting seasons and current weather to provide structure but flexibility.
With over 20 years' experience, Royal Horticulture Society training and qualifications in design we specialise in plant care and border work.
Understanding what you consider weeds in your garden rather than a blanket approach, as well as differentiating the early sprouts of bulbs and perennials. Timing when it is prudent to dead head and prune plants, providing prolonged flowering and increasing plant health, as well as knowing when to leave seed heads for propagation or winter 'Dead interest' or using the right techniques when dealing with pests and diseases.
Identifying and understanding the needs and requirements for each plant you own, knowing the right time to prune for its health and so it will flourish with more growth and flowers so you can enjoy your garden all year round.
Perfecting your maintenance routine will not only provide you with the best results but it will save you money, promote biodiversity and improve sustainability.

Case Study
We've been working at a local school where the borders had been overwhelmed with weeds, the shrubs out of control or dying due to neglect and perennials smothered and unable to grow.
The trick to fixing this garden was identifying what needed to be removed and what we could propagate to populate the areas. Removing the Mares Tail and Bindweed gave us an opportunity to let the Poppies and Aquilegia seed and start spreading around, adding flowers for free. We've also added over a couple of Autumns around 2000 bulbs to add lots of diversity without the requirement of much aftercare. Applying the proper pruning at the right time to the Pittosporums, Olives and Lavenders have given them a fresh start.
Members of the school team had this to say about us "The school grounds look excellent. They are really well maintained and the thought and care you have put in to the gardens are noticeable." "How lovely the raised beds are looking , they have never looked so good and the amount of visitors and staff that can't believe how these lovely looking raised beds are in the quads of a school ." And " I think what you are doing with the borders is excellent and long may it continue."
